Brief history of the company
Codex was established in 1979 by Brendan Murphy, who saw a gap in the market for reliable, customer-first office supplies. The company grew steadily as customers recognised good value and unbeatable service. Innovation accelerated that growth, and when Brendan’s son Patrick joined the family firm in 2011, he saw the potential to take Codex to the next level. With a focus on people and culture, now-CEO Patrick Murphy has done just that, building on the company’s core values and turning Codex into Ireland’s no. 1 B2B office supplier.
