There are 16 eligible award categories, each having specific criteria that the judging panel will be examining.

  • All entries must be submitted using the online entry form.
  • All entry forms must be completed fully before the deadline.
  • You may edit your entry after submitting, up until the entry deadline.
  • Please make sure all your personal details are entered accurately, including contact details, as this will be used in the awards presentation if selected as a finalist.
  • Nominations for members of the judging panel or headline sponsors will not be accepted.
  • You may enter across any number of categories and be shortlisted in a maximum of four, providing that your entry meets the given award criteria.
  • Entries should be based on a project from the last 18 months.
  • There is no fee for entering the Women in STEM Awards.

Women in STEM AWARD – Science

This award will go to the woman most deserving of recognition for her achievements in science this year. You may work at one of the largest firms, an SME or a start-up that’s making a huge difference. 

The important thing is you’re working at the forefront of science doing incredible things, inspiring your organisation and standing out. The winning submission will demonstrate excellence in the field of science. This could be the result of personal effort or as part of a team, but the entrant must demonstrate how her contribution made a significant impact, and why it goes above and beyond the usual expectations of her role.

This award will go to the woman most deserving of recognition for her achievements in science this year. You may work at one of the largest firms, an SME or a start-up that’s making a huge difference.

You may work at one of the largest firms, or sit at the top of ESG at a not-for-profit organisation that’s making a huge difference. You may be a researcher, engineer, scientist, data analyst or sustainability manager. The important thing is you’re working at the forefront of ESG doing incredible things, inspiring your organisation or making a lasting and positive impact on the environment and wider society

The winning submission will demonstrate excellence in the field of ESG. This could be the result of personal effort or as part of a team, but the entrant must demonstrate how her contribution made a significant impact, and why it goes above and beyond the usual expectations of her role.

Which female expert in numbers has made the biggest difference in the last 12 months? You may be an actuary, or work at one of the largest insurance or fintech companies; sit at the top of accountancy, finance or other maths-related areas at a not-for-profit organisation that’s making a huge difference. The important thing is you’re working at the forefront of mathematics doing incredible things, inspiring your organisation and standing out. 

The winning submission will demonstrate excellence in her field whether in fintech, data analytics, IT, statistics, meteorology, computer programming, or other area where maths are a part of your day-to-day. This could be the result of personal effort or as part of a team, but the entrant must demonstrate how her contribution made a significant impact, and why it goes above and beyond the usual expectations of her role.
