Male Champion of Change Award

Gender equality in STEM requires the support and active participation of all genders, including male allies who champion change.

The “Male Champion of Change Award” category celebrates men who have demonstrated exceptional commitment to advancing gender equity in STEM fields. From advocating for policies and practices that support women in STEM, to actively mentoring and sponsoring women in their organisations, these male champions of change are leading by example, driving meaningful progress and standing up for equality and helping to create a more inclusive and diverse STEM community.

  • Provide a career overview detailing professional achievements (350 words max) – 25 points
  • Advocacy: The applicant should demonstrate a record of advocating for gender equality and inclusion in their organisation or industry. They must give examples of promoting DE&I policies or initiatives, mentoring programs or programs that support women's advancement. (250 words max) – 25 points
  • Impact: The applicant should demonstrate how their efforts have made an impact on their organisation or industry, such as increasing the number of women in leadership positions, promoting pay equity, or reducing gender-based discrimination.  (250 words max) – 25 points
  • Give any other reasons why you/they should be chosen as the 2023 Male Champion of Change. (250 words max) - 25 points
